Butterflies & Blossom

Hand Carved Necklace

As with so much of my work, ‘Butterflies and Blossom’ celebrates the changing of the seasons and the fleeting, temporary nature of so many of the creatures and flora that we associate with the yearly cycle. It was carved as an ode to Grinling Gibbons and his style of working in extreme high relief and it was an honour to be able show this piece alongside Gibbons’ work at an exhibition to celebrate the 300th anniversary of his death.
