One-to-One Courses & Tuition
The perfect way to develop your woodcarving skills at a pace and depth tailored to you, your level of experience and your carving aspirations.
Focused on You & Your Goals
Each one-to-one course is tailored to your individual learning requirements and carving goals. Whether you would like to learn the ancient craft of spoon carving, dream of carving your own wooden jewellery or you have some previous carving experience that you would like to develop further, your one-to-one course will be designed just for you.
Learn at Your Pace
Developing new skills takes time. Whether you already have experience of woodcarving or are a complete beginner in the craft, we each learn at a different rate and it can be difficult to find a method of learning that fits your needs. The pace of your one-to-one course is decided by you, allowing you time to digest every technique.
You Are Never Too Old to Learn
Woodcarving is a skill that almost anyone can learn and the benefits of learning to carve are numerous; from maintaining physical strength and dexterity to the therapeutic value of developing mindfulness and mental focus. It is a craft suited to makers and artists of any age and, with one-to-one courses tailored to your needs, you really are never too old (or too young) to learn.
Techniques Adapted to Suit You
In learning to carve there is no “one size fits all” approach. We each have our own strengths, physical abilities and needs which generic training in carving techniques can’t take into account. With one-to-one support each carving technique will be adapted to work for you and to play to your own individual strengths.
Choose from One Hour to One Week
One-to-one courses are designed to be flexible and the length of your course is up to you and can be tailored to suit your needs and budget. Whether you want regular short sessions or a longer intensive course, one-to-one sessions are available from as little as an hour to as long as a week.
You Decide the Where & When
One-to-one courses and sessions are available all year round* and take place in Lancashire, England but if you would prefer not to travel then your one-to-one can take place in your own home or at a location of your choosing**.
